Mapping network drives

Occasionally Windows loses it's Network mapping and the error message

"Master file Unavailable" appears on the Workstation

To remap do the following

Right click on network neighborhood on the Windows desktop.

(Windows XP Users) In the Start menu, right-click on My Computer and select Map Network Drive... ...

left Click on "Map network drive"

The Letter "D" or next available drive letter appears, this is the drive that the server is being mapped to.   (later insert this letter at the System file screen, data location1 and data location2)

in the box below the letter designation, insert the path

\\SERVER\T         or whatever name your server is  i.e.  \\myserver\t

in the box below the path put a check in "reconnect at logon"

click OK and path setting is complete.

.After this is completed, the AJA DMS software needs to be made aware of the Network Drive used to access the data over the network.. This is done by starting the AJA DMS program, entering the Utility Menu, choosing selection #1 (Access System file), then arrowing down about 8 or so lines and inserting the Drive letter assigned above as data location #1 and data location #2
