Start Outlook Express. (using Verizon accts., use accts.for your email sever)
From the Tools menu, select Accounts.
Select the Mail tab.
Click Add, then select Mail. The Internet Connection Wizard dialog box appears.
In the Display Name field, type your name, then select Next.
In the E-mail Address field, type your e-mail address, then select Next.
In the My Incoming mail server is a drop-down menu, verify that POP3 is selected.
In the Incoming mail server field, type incoming.verizon.net.
In the Outgoing mail server field, type outgoing.verizon.net, then select Next.
In the Account Name field, type your Verizon Online user name.
In the Password field, type your password.
Note: Selecting the Remember password option lets Outlook Express connect to your mailbox without asking you for your password. Enabling this feature is optional.
Click Finish to save the new e-mail settings.
Click Properties. The incoming.verizon.net Properties dialog box appears.
Select the Servers tab.
Select the My server requires authentication check box, then select Settings.
Verify Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected. Click OK.
Click OK to save the mail account.
Click Close to close the Internet Accounts dialog box.
After setting up Outlook Express, you can send and receive e-mail using the Tools,
Send and Receive command.
